• Responsible for technical consultation on the Network Management System portion of the Future Combat System, a tactical ad-hoc mobile network; mentored and trained staff personnel. 

• Directed a detailed comparative analysis of current basis of estimates against recorded for current contract; oversaw the completion of several SEER-SEM models and discovered supportive data to justify a credit of $15 million on supplier contract.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS TECHNICAL SERVICES, INC. – Frederick, Maryland                                 1996 – 2004

Chief Executive Officer 

• Responsible for the overall operations of the company including 15 direct reports.
• Through creative marketing and the subsequent publication of my book, Rick Gallaher’s MPLS Training Guide, Syngress Press, 2003, increased business base and prominence in the IT field, generating the equivalent of over $1 million in free marketing and press with a $0 marketing budget.
• Developed prototype and granted provisional patent on RJ-45 Connector Latch.
• Served as a subject matter expert in the development of an intellectual properties case for a prestigious patent law firm.
• Developed preliminary design and proof of concept for patient database in neonatology for longitudinal study at The Washington Hospital Center in Washington D.C. and a medical database conversion into Oracle for The Johns Hopkins University Medical Center.
